Christionne Marie is an R&B singer-songwriter based in Atlanta. Hailing from West Bank Algiers, New Orleans, Christionne began making music at the age of sixteen. Her passion for singing and songwriting came late, as she originally planned to pursue a business degree in college. However, the audience reaction at an open mic inspired her to change her major and begin writing her own music. Christionne Marie decided in that moment that she would dedicate her time and efforts to developing herself as a singer, performer, and a songwriter.
Listeners can expect the sounds of R&B/soul from Christionne Marie. Her calm vocals will set the mood in any atmosphere. Christionne Marie is heavily influenced by Beyoncé, who inspires her to improve vocally every day. Other lyrical influences include Musiq Soulchild, Barbra Streisand, and H.E.R. Christionne Marie is also inspired by the soulful sounds of Daniel Caesar, Aaliyah, and her favorite R&B duo Floetry. She constantly listened to these artists throughout her childhood, and the combination of their sounds is what inspires Christionne Marie to be the artist she is today.
Christionne Marie has just released her single, “Hard,” on SoundCloud. She is also active in Panther Entertainment group (PEG) an organization at her college, Georgia State. Christionne Marie is currently working on an EP that will feature other artists in the Atlanta area. No matter what Christionne Marie accomplishes in her music career, she will stand by the fact that she is not doing this for the fame. “I do this only for the music.”
