Michael Shaun Brown / Nashville, TN Southern Rock

I was born in the blue ridge mountains of Appalachia where music is just a part of every day life. some of my oldest memories are listening to FM 94, a local radio station that is based out of Marion, Virginia, in my dads garage on the weekend where dad was generally working on something, whether it was his 1968 Plymouth Roadrunner, or something else.

It seemed as though I was always drawn to the music, and being from the South it just seemed natural that I was instilled with the southern rock roots of the 1970's just like my parents had been before me. My Momma used to always jam the Eagles, Bob Seger, or something similar to that in her car pretty much every time we went somewhere. so I would like to thank my parents for what I consider my great taste in music!

I had always loved listening to the music, but I had never tried to play until my best friend Bradley got a guitar. He taught me how to play the opening lick and chord to Folsom prison blues, and that's how it all began. I got a guitar of my own that Christmas and quickly learned how to play.... by the next year I was playing in a local band in town at the age 13. By the time I was a junior in high school I had my own band. In between juggling school and football practice during the week and playing on the weekend, I established a following in the southwest area in Virginia where I am from.

I moved to Nashville right out of high school with a pickup truck, some clothes and a guitar. Since then I've been all over the country playing music and I feel like I have been extremely fortunate to have accomplished everything that I have thus far. Thanks to everyone who has supported me along the way. I couldn't do it without ya.
