NEW WILDERNESS PROJECT / CREATIVITY + COMPASSION + COURAGE + COMMUNITY = STEWARDSHIP & JUSTICE

New Wilderness Project, founded in 2004, has grown to become a creative force for arts and social justice education, partnering with school districts, universities, corporations, and organizations across the country. New Wilderness Project offers Playnote/ Keynote Performances, Artist in Residence educational programs, and experiential wilderness adventure programs.

Performance:

“Borderless” is a powerful performance engagement from New Wilderness Project. It is a musical collaboration including multiple influences from indigenous roots, Folk, Blues, Rock, and Hip Hop. This new work weaves original song, spoken word and visual storytelling together to engage audiences in a creative exploration of personal and community transformation. “Borderless” is a timely and soul-shifting journey that leads the audience through the head-space, and into the landscape of the heart. This multimedia production is a compassionate and critical analysis of issues around race, class, identity, immigration, sexual orientation, gender, indigenous justice and environmental stewardship. It is also a passionate re-vision for how we can thrive in the 21st century; how we heal our relationships across our many differences, how we can overcome the myth of separation between humans and the natural world, and how we revitalize a soulful commons.

Artist in Residency:

New Wilderness Project workshops and programs offer a platform to pinpoint and address locally relevant social and environmental issues in a way that fosters human dignity, courageous leadership, cultural competence and stewardship.
