About

Bio

The Greenhouse People is a band created by Jonathan Hoard in summer of 2010 to popularize a movement into soul pleasing, awakening, connecting music. TGP is made of skillful, intelligent musicians who play with a mission to connect to anyone interested in listening.
Many state rock/soul is the style of the band. This is most likely result of the varied musical interests of The Greenhouse People. Members of the band are die-hard Badu fans, others are life followers of Coldplay and James Brown and a few are Stevie Wonder and Duke Ellington advents. Such combinations of influences can only produce a sound that is infectious enabling the influenced to play, have fun while presenting music.
As result of The Greenhouse People’s gentle musicality coped with familiar soulfulness, the band has played at The Hard Rock Café, the House of Blues, and other local venues since its 2010 inception. Most recently, the band opened for Grammy award winner Dwele at Fete Music Hall.
Moreover, J. Hoard & The Greenhouse People are well on their way to success with brilliant music presented with the highest energy possible. Though young, this band embraces the power of music to perfect their wisdom as musicians allowing them to transcend cultures and bridge generations.
